Local Theme Camps
SiliCon Village
VISION: A collective ‘Placed Theme
Camp’ Village comprised of friends, old and new, that love
and celebrate life outside the box!
MODEL: The model we are creating in 2007 is a more interactive
and community based one, and more environmentally sustainable. We
are keeping the collective model we have enjoyed since 2004, which
assumes that everyone is responsible for him/herself but we share
electrical power and a common area with facilities like a bar, shade,
music and other features. We will not have shared water, kitchen
or shower facilities. Last year we enjoyed Sawdust's 5 Elements
bar, Glimmer's dance pole, Blysse's Mystic Massage, Curtis + Fresh's
"One Time at Burning Man" story tent, Gidget + sCary's
windsufing lessons, Daniel O's Free Blowjobs (air for tire!), Big
Mike's Tetrahedon swing, Dan's Mister Cool and a number of art cars.

Iron Rose
Iron Rose, a small, No-Personal-Drama camp populated by South Bay Burners, welcomes you to the Iron Rose Juke Joint
at Burning Man 2005. Enjoy and help create our Mistical Garden,
where the flowers water the humans. Cobble together some mutant
game tables... where what you see isn't necessarily what you're
playing. Attain perfection in our Pyramid of Perfection, with a
bevy of lovely services week-long. (Pyramid available to rent for
perfectly lovely playa-events and service-offerings. Please speak
with our rental agent.) Even the mutant vehicle is in fine bloom!
We're a group of common, ordinary people, having
fun doing uncommon, extraordinary things. If you're interested in
joining us or playing along on some of our projects and events,
get in touch. Email: heidi (at) dykema.net

Winking Lotus
Winking Lotus, we're the people behind the wink, the Burning Man
theme camp with the golden stupa. Dedicated to the elimination of
suffering through service, incongruity, and fervent participation.
Guided by our illustrious ringmaster, the Oracle of Teaz, we craft
a remarkable
encampment in the Black Rock desert of Nevada once a year.
Our mission: To bestow upon you the chillest grooves
and the tastiest
trance. To offer a yogic stretch, a tarot card, and a dancing flame.
To
provide a warm cup of tea and a pillow to rest your dusty head.
This is Winking Lotus, you've been served.

Alternative Energy Zone
The Alternative Energy Zone (AEZ) is a village drawn together by
an interest in solar, wind, and other sources of power. Over the
last few years, the village has grown to a friendly community of
about 350 people, who cluster into camps and mini-villages ranging
from 1 to 40 burners. Neighbors are friendly, tools and help are
shared, and several village-wide potlucks occur during the week.
No fossil-fuel generators are allowed, so the AEZ tends to be quieter
than other neighborhoods. Camping space is pre-assigned by the village
mayor, based on your request, so you know where you will be and
how much space you'll have before you arrive on the Playa. AEZ does
not charge fees.
Read more at http://ae-zone.org/.
You'll find the AEZ mission statement, as well as information on
desert camping, alternative energy systems, suppliers, etc. To join
the AEZ mailing list, send a message to altenergy-list-subscribe@burningman.com.
