Get the collective juices flowing! We invite you to join us for a Burning Silicon Council Meeting. We'll discuss community- building subjects to fuel creativity and collaboration, plan the next big thing and promote Burning Man principles to our community.

Feb 5 - Costume Workshop at Club Z in San Jose
Come and learn how to make those great fur boots /shoe covers and be fashionable day or night on the Playa! Forget high heels or uncomfortable shoes and awe your friends with your fancy feet! We'll also decorate bustiers, hats, bras, vests, shoes and what-have-you with beads, trim and dangles.

Feb 4 - First Friday at Real Girl's in Sunnyvale
Free from announcements and organization, free from the Burning Silicon co-creators (we lock Gidget and Skid in the closet), First Friday gives us kids time to play.

Jan 22 - Burn Barrel Making at sCary's San Jose Monster Garage
Learn to make artistic burn barrels out of 55 gallon steel barrels. There will be three cutting rigs and one plasma cutter available to use. Wizzard will be doing the brazing demo and instruction.

Onplaya, BRC 2003
Burning Silicon and Burning Beach teamed up to host a playa gathering. We met at K-SVERT on the Esplanade to spin some fire, spin some tunes, schmooze and toast our collectiveness before heading our separate ways into the night.

August Mondays 2003
We gathered every Monday in August from 7 pm to 10 pm in Portola Valley to plan for the Burning Silicon onplaya gathering, swap onplaya addresses and spin glow sticks.

Pre-Compression Party in San Jose -- July 26, 2003
Over 140 burners came out to socialize and play. We saw two Burning Man films, AquaBurn and Sensations, we played with Wizzard's Orb and climbed aboard Captain PT Nemo's Nautilus X and listened to tunes from Cat5 and other friends.

Beach Burn -- June 1, 2003
Think burning art, fire spinners, a cool ocean breeze and 100 of your best burner friends and you've captured the spirit of Burning Silicon's first beach burn. If you missed out, don't fret, we'll do it again.

EL Wire Workshop -- May 17, 2003
We'll have soldering demonstrations throughout the afternoon and an area where you can practice in real time. We'll also have finished costumes and lit projects to help get your creative juices flowing.

“Caught in the Current” Camp Crawl -- August 29, 2002
Rule one of open sea swimming: Swim WITH the current. Eventually you'll wind up in sight of the shore. Take the plunge and join the Creatures in Crawl trawling and cavorting.

Burning Silicon Pre-Compression Party -- July 19, 2002
With over 150 groovy burners in attendance, the night vibe was luminous. Burning documentaries "Gifting It" and "Burn Baby Burn" screened in the viewing room while dancing consumed the party room.
